Hello Loyal Readers!
Its been months and months since I’ve done updates, links and open threads… To begin with, be sure to visit the comments below! Start discussions on anything! Self Promote! Post reviews of books and films you’ve seen recently! Ask Me Anything! Complain! Tell me what I’m doing wrong! Remind me of all the essays I’ve hinted but haven’t yet written!
.
But first the updates!
Now this is sort-of a Good News and Bad News update… so starting with the bad new, then good news, then the juicy links at the end…
The Bad News
The Bad News is Anarchonomicon is sorta Failing.
Due to a combination of Twitter shadow-bans and the raw economics of Subscription based blogging, and the Nightmare of keeping it up… The Anarchonomicon Website, Blog, Podcast, Political Project, etc. ALL OF THIS…
Is Really STALLED in terms of growth and viability. I started the year with 17,500 total subscribers… That grew only to 19,000… Whereas the previous year I’d doubled from 8000 to 17,500. And Paid subscribers have actually declined.
Its not apocalyptic… It can bleed out for a long long while… But I’m doing this fulltime and making about as much as an entry level McDonalds Fry-cook…
Which admittedly is not AWFUL for a professional writer who’s still young and unwrinkled in a field where my median peer/competitor is double my age… but its certainly something you want to fix quickly, and not survive as a starving artist unable to start a family.
Over the past year I’ve been averaging about 2000-3000 words (7-12 pages) and 1-2 hours of Audio a week (I’m trying to bump up to 3-5)… I’m not sure if it seems that way to you guys at home, since a lot of my articles are long mega-articles that come out in large irregular super-releases… But for everything you do see there’s 2-3 abortive projects that start and don’t come out but need to be partially written so as to get to the things that do come out, and a long back catalogue of Long-form recording I need to get out.
And all that to Experience basically zero growth in reach and Negative paid subscriber growth.
Now to be fair there were a few things that were burning subscribers and acting as an Anchor on growth I’ve since fixed…
Substack was sending out Email notifications for podcast episodes… Which is just dumb, you subscribe to the podcast, So I was getting a shocking number of unsubscribes just from people who didn’t want an email for “Which Way Western Man? part 5 (Jesus 3)”… (which it still amazes me how big a hit that series is). Just add the RSS feed to your podcatcher if you want the podcast!
But when you add up the writing, recording, editing, photoshopping, reading, other writings, and account management and promotion I need to do… It very quickly adds up to something like 50-60 hours a week. And I can’t really do much to change the pace of things coming out, though that’s what eats away at me everyday…. What I’d wind up doing is writing basically the same amount content-wise, but it’d just be broken up into shorter, dumber, more slop-like takes and content. If I did that I’d be creating the illusion of more Content and almost certainly making more money (and getting more paywall opportunities), whilst almost certainly making the end product worse… Seriously I’ve dug through the substacks that make crazy money, and that’s what they’re doing.
Enshitification and shrinkflation is HIGHLY incentivized for substack writers, whereas I want to just keep writing the big deep dives!

The substack Bestsellers in terms of subscriptions are almost all largely Just Slopping-Out 3-5 400-600 word pieces a week with little to no visual effort or images because they aren’t putting out thoughts that require the visual aid, nor writing anything long enough that you need to reward the reader’s mind for having made it so far.
No one else is going around putting out 5000 word pieces theorizing novel improvised weapon systems and how they relate to existing modern warfare, nor how to visualize all the information inherent in that.
Likewise no one else is Dragging you through a schizo deep-dive of how the hate campaign against Nickleback was used as a weapons test for mass the mass cancelations of the 2010s, or how that relates to the Media theories of Marshall McLuhan…
If I switched to the slop-cannon and jangled the keys of twice weekly short essay, You’d be missing out on things like The Warlord’s Reading List (BTW I do go back and update the links that expire on this and add more works periodically, check it out regularly… Recently updated it with the PDF of the Ultimate Sniper), The Real Banned Book List, The recent “Hell on Film” historical mega-review, or the Hyper Long-Form geostrategic theory content I’ve got the next installment of basically planned out.
However, these mega-takes are also nightmares to paywall, since they take 1-2 months work, and people simply do not go back and read articles… If I decide to paywall them, I get a burst of subscribers, at the cost of TWO MONTHS of landmark important work never getting read by more than a few hundred people.
The Hobo List which was initially pay-walled as a trial run and taken out of paywall a month later (It’s been free to read for a year) has gotten less than 20% what the Warlord’s Reading List has gotten, despite me trying to heavily push it as soon as the paywall ended… That’s Just because the effect of Initial sharing/virality is that powerful.
Its really unresolvable.
Right now I’m very optimized to produce dense and deep long-form high-value content without a paywall which gives you what’s on the tin… Stuff like The Anarchonomicon Guide to Knife Fighting (15,000 Words) which in any other age would be a 30-50 page pamphlet/novella length thing and cost the equivalent of $10-20 + Shipping, and take 3-5 months to produce and market… Whereas I turned it out now in 2 months, with only a 2-3 weeks disruption in my regular content churn with video, photos, and media embeds you’d never get from a pamphlet… For Free. (which you paid subscribers benefit from, that you can share it, interact in comments, and have the driveby comments by alleged Special Forces members and former military who occasionally pop their head in).
Put otherwise:
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE. I live very lean…
If you are just a non-subscribed reader… The barest free email subscription does wonders for making this project grow… I calculated it out… Every email subscription is the equivalent of about a one time $5 tip.
And If you are already a free subscriber… Please consider becoming paid.
You know those advertisements you always saw in the 2000s that you could save a starving African Child for just a dollar a day?
Well an Anarchonomicon subscription averages out to less that 30 cents a day… And that’s 2026 money, not 2007 money. And unlike the African child, None of my meals are already subsidized out of your tax dollars, none of its being diverted to Intel Agencies, or Hillary Clinton, and I won’t grow up to hop in a boat and stab people in France!
I’m an ACTUAL Charity-Case!
I literally survive off Coffee and Canned Fish!
If you’ve ever donated to a political campaign they spend close to 50% of everything on 6-figure salaries, drinks and dining in DC, and things like suits and expensive flights and ubers for distances any decent person would drive there personal car (These are people who LIKE airports), only to work maybe 2-3 hours a day, and absolutely DESPISE the people who comprise their base and donate to them.
By contrast I don’t think there exists a higher return THING you can do with your political money in terms of raw cultural/political impact per dollar spent than subscribing to Anarchonomicon RIGHT NOW. I’m surviving an entire year and producing 300-500 pages of political writings + about 100-200 hours of Audio annually (which is about to increase, fingers crossed)… all off a budget about the equivalent of ONE 30 second TV Ad during an American Election season.
And my audience is vastly more valuable and relevant to the political future of your country than the senile elderly TV watchers that Ad can sway this election cycle.
Like me or hate me… Nothing I do is a slop take that someone else is going to put out there, and no one’s going to do it with this level of depth of effort/reading/schizo energy, and though you may not see it, the ripple influence is shockingly large. For example Since I put out the banned book list something like a dozen highly obscure works on there have gotten audio podcasts and long reads and other things on works that appeared on there… Maybe someone else put them in the conversation, but At-least a few I’m very sure I was the causation bringing those disappeared books back into the conversation, such that fans are now making audio versions for various audiences.
Unlike most influencers grubbing for your money, You aren’t just shuffling influence from one person take-chasing on the Cornel Gang Rape” or EGirl Drama to another take-chasing.
The Good News:
The Misery March was a Roaring success!
Join the Anarchonomicon Discord server
And we are planning another Misery March sometime in the winter!
On September the 19th all the volunteers and conscripts I had (about half a Dozen) set out to walk 30kms (7 hours) from Ajax Ontario back to the Old city of Toronto in the West Beaches (Ajax Go to the RC Harris Treatment Plant). This accidentally turned into a 36 kilometer and 9-10 hour death march through the darkening day and our blisters, aching feet and dehydration (I threw out my personal water due to the weight and because Convenience stores were abundant, then we were late and the convenience stores closed, so I personally was 5lbs down of water-weight the next day).
The oldest marcher was a local in his 60s and my #1 fan FLEW IN FROM EUROPE to walk 30kms through nothing but the miserable sprawl of Scarborough Ontario. And not a one quit, died, or received an “urgent phone call”.
Not even after a bridge was shut, and we had to walk an extra 5 kilometers (3 miles) around a bay.
The morale effect of the Traffic and concrete was incredible… The raw lack of Silence or mere pleasantness for 10 hour straight, the roaring concrete misery… As my mother might say: It Builds Character!

So Ya! Join the Anarchonomicon Discord server, especially if you’re within 1 continent’s travel of Toronto and want to be EVEN MORE MISERABLE in February doing the EXACT SAME THING across a slightly different route… But in Minus 20!
It’s going to be awesome!
Also Subscribe so I can keep torturing the elderly and the lovely decent people of the wider Anarchonomicon cult community.
The Anarchonomicon Bookclub Enters It’s 3rd Year!
Also Read my classic Short story:
The Anarchonomicon Bookclub is at 24 months now. Currently we are just wrapping up INFANTRY ATTACKS [Full Text] by Field Marshall Erwin Rommel. When General George Patton said “Rommel You magnificent bastard! I read your book!” This is the book!
But more likely more of you will make it to November book club when we are Reading Machiavelli’s The Prince and Discourses on Livy [Full Text] (you need to read both because the Prince is about Monarchies, and the Discourses republics… You don’t get the full picture without both). Or the lighter December Bookclub when we read the 1918 Canadian Young Adult Imperial Bildungsroman “The Making of a Man” by W. D. Flatt.
So far the Anarchonomicon Bookclub has read:
The Twelve Ceasars by Sutonius 121 AD (Fall 2024)
The Gallic Wars by Julius Caesar 58-50 BC, published as Dispatches (Feb 2025)
Le Morte De Arthur by Thomas Malory 1485 AD (March 2025)
Paradise Lost by John Milton 1667 AD (April 2025)

The Nibelungenlied ~1200 AD (June 2025)
Hitler’s War by David Irving 1979 AD (July and August 2025)
“The best biography of Hitler, whose personality stands at the center of the Second World War, is still that of Allan Bollock, “Hitler, a Study in Tyrrany”, 1965. Complementing it as a picture how he directed Germany’s war effort is David Irving’s “Hitler’s War”, 1979, which has been deserted as “the autobiography Hitler did not write” and is certainly among the half-dozen most important books on 1939-45.
-John Keegan, Sandhurst Military Historian, from “The Second World War”
The Iliad by Homer ~800 BC (Sept 2025)
Faust Part 1 by Goethe, 1806 AD (October 2025)
Hamlet by Shakespeare ~1600 AD (November 2025)
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens 1843 AD (Short Bookclub December 2025)
History of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides [Vol 1, 2, 3] 404 BC (January 2026)
On Heroes, Hero Worship, and the Heroic in History by Thomas Carlyle 1840 Ad (March 2026)
The Storm of Steel by Ernst Junger, 1920 AD (May 2026)
Guerilla Days in Ireland by Tom Barry 1949 AD + Ireland’s War of Independence 1919-1921, Lorcan Collins 2019 AD (To augment Barry’s Narrative with a short general survey) … (June 2026)
Bandit Country: The IRA in South Armagh by Toby Harnden 1999 AD,
+ IRA: The Bombs and The Bullets by A. R. Openheimer 2008 AD (July 2026)Little Women by Louisa May Alcott 1868 AD (August Women’s Bookclub 2026)
I still have to write my Essay on how “Little Women” is actually the ultimate depiction of modern totalitarian Longhouse degeneracy… Harass me for this essay.
INFANTRY ATTACKS by Field Marshall Erwin Rommel 1937 Ad (October 2026)
The Warlord’s Filmclub Returns for the Winter!
This November we will be Watching The Battle of Algiers your favorite directors favorite movie and direct inspiration on George Lucas, John Milius, Francis Ford Coppola, and Spielberg… Whilst also being one of the most accurate War Movies ever made, with most of the roles played directly by actual former combatants in the Algerian War a conflict shockingly few outside France know much of anything about, but is on the scale of the Vietnam War in terms of death and destruction.
More Warlord Movie Clubs will occur on the Discord server every month of winter.
Join the Anarchonomicon Discord server to watch with us!

Friend of the podcast Rogue of Heir to the Aryans has published a wonderful, and wonderfully based, travelogue of his 1000km Journey on Horseback along the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan border with a former Soviet Sniper training horses and hunting the rare Ibex, a massive wild species of Mountain Goat
Speaking of begging for money…
Dimes of BloodSatellite at the The Vanguardist Journal has a wonderful short open letter to the “Closed Elite” of the Right Wing and Closetted Right Wing wealthy on why NOW is the time to be investing in Right Wing Politics and movements outside the respectable legacy institutions of parties and respectable NGOs…It is truly incredible how many upper-middle-class and wealthy people will insist that they cannot do anything publicly for risk to their reputation or being targeted, spend hundreds of hours consumed in political discussion and anxious handwringing, and yet cannot bring themselves to quietly fund any of the people willing to actually do anything…
Friend of the podcast John Carter did a wonderful deep dive on the Dominion Society conference and the state of nationalist politics and the limp wristed censorship attempts to crush it within Canada.
This piece represents not just a Good summary of the events of the past 2 months, but also, thank’s to the Dominion Society’s success, a good model for regional and Smaller Nation nationalist movements to learn from and study.
72 Degrees North has an excellent look into AI with the space of Vibecoding, advanced math and other technical applications and the seeming limits they have not actually producing novel or interesting results… but rather copying and stealing from within their training data, such that most “novel results” are actually from simply brute forcing thousands of papers together to get interactions the community hadn’t found before, or simply copying and reproducing a decaying amount of original code it gets harder and harder to maintain.
Specifically he digs into the sociological effect of this and how its accelerating the decay of already decaying institutions:
SWAT Mag had an Excellent and excellently GOREY piece on wound ballistics and how the “One Shot, One Kill” Legend is almost entirely a Hollywood creation and completely divorced from the violence of actually ripping someone’s body apart with fast moving balls of lead.
I hadnever seen the SKIN of an extremity buckle and tear from the cavity expansion of a gunshot before… But now I have. Very informative, and highly useful for some projects I’ve been working on.
Everyone is a Conservative on what they know best… And The Second Story turns into a fire-breathing Marble statue reactionary when she unpacks the history of the Modern Publishing industry’s Purposeful Conflation of “Classics” to include true classics, works like Homer’s Odyssey or Virgil’s Aeneid, works that have gone through centuries and millennia of critical evaluation and culture influence… that publishers actively despise out of ethnic, socialist, and sexual resentment, with Modern novels overwhelmingly by and about Homosexual French Pederasts whom they want to push. I can feel her struggling to avoid discussing exactly “who are “They” though?”
And she’s amazing. Accurately summarizing things I’d always felt, but never had the patience for publishing history to dig into. Every Classics publishing brand from Penguin to Oxford includes some version of the Marquis de Sade as a “Modern Classic” (I mean he’s kinda funny?) on a par with the Plays of Euripedes or Campaigns of Caesar… But works like Napoleon’s Memoirs and La Case’s Memorial of Saint Helena (one of the most widely read and most culturally and politically influential works of the 19th and early 20th century) are left without even a currently available English edition.
Speaking of “Them”
One of the most bizarre cross-over interviews occurred, seemingly begging people to assess who’s lying to who and who’s spinning what… Edward Luttwak author of the pretty good Coup D’Etat: a Practical Handbook and general deep state creature… Is still alive, and a perverted Jewish documentary director (but i repeat myself) put him in a room with Curtis Yarvin specifically to talk about Israel and Jewish life…
Is this a good or entertaining conversation? Ugh… I haven’t watched all of it (the kevetching is a bit much)… But Is this a bizarre sequence of weird rosseta stones into the overlap between decades of figures and relationships, stated and unstated, that many schizos in the comments will want to pull apart?
Please do and please tell me the main takeaways if this is your brand of Schizo.
This LONG tweet deep-dive is a great sociological theory of the Malfoid Phenomenon and the process of using AI to re-enchant and restore deconstructionist media originally designed to demoralize and weaken western man…
It’s an amazing sociological vibe and well worth the read.
This thread was an excellent deep dive into the Machining of the first Watt Steam engine, and how contrary to how history is often presented, usually the inventions that change the world are not mere flashes of inspiration, but complete slogs to make existing ideas and theories actually work. Watt and several others had theorized and understood how revolutionary the Steam engine could be… The real barrier was developing the machining and materials science so that you could actually build the damned thing:
some people insist that Demographics are destiny. Some that culture is everything. Yet others insist on magic dirt and geography as the determining factor…
I, personally, encourage you to make your comparisons and comment below:
“If you were a real libertarian how come you aren’t actually having a shootout with the government?”
Jonathan D. Miller the Libertarian candidate for North Carolina’s 16th Senate District did!
Ultimately surrendering to the police, the manhunt ignited tons of back and forth on Twitter as he live-tweeted his run from the law and armed standoff with the police… Was this good OPSEC? No. Was it good entertainment? ABSOLUTELY! between regime Libertarians trying to distance themselves from him, based libertarians telling him how to manufacture improvised weapons, other’s telling him to do a flip, other’s wondering if he’s disqualified or if North Carolina can still vote for him? And the entire online right wondering “Wait!? Are Libertarians based again???”
I haven’t dug into the full details… but this is a saga which has neither ended nor been fully unpacked, and I am here for all the discussion around it!
That’s all for now! Post your own links in the open thread below Plug your stuff! Shamelessly self promote! Ask me anything!

I might suggest compiling a bunch of old pieces and then publishing it as a book. I’m certain AH or some other based publisher would be interested. Then just do the same thing every year or two. JMG has done it for 20 years and basically affords an upper middle class lifestyle just on backlog royalties. If you want to monetize harder lock everything that goes into the book as subscribers only and put a giant preview banner that says “pay me $10 a month or buy the $25 book” it’s a method that has legs and shit I’d buy the thing.
