And then came for me….”but, but I’m on your side! See my fellow traveler membership card!!?” “Yes and just head for that open patch of ground over there this won’t take long.” The guy in the Mao suit explained…The First Amendment was written for hard times and ugly speech that no one might want to hear. Without this protection the clamping down going on now will look like child’s play.

Just you wait - when they're defeated and at the stocks, they'll cry "but you're being hypocritical!!! if you execute us for this basis, you're being just as bad!!"

To you which you must respond; "As bad as who?"

Not saying that this should happen to our journalists but most people would not cry for them if it does.

The folly of hate spreading. Any of us consuming the media can refuse the hate bait. It is not up to the source to proliferate hate, it is up to the consumer of media to deny, ignore and refuse to engage in it. Actually, you need no media to live and survive the day. They just want you to believe you cannot live without them. Totally false.

That word "us" is doing an awful lot of work in that sentence. For instance, I imagine there were very few Tutsis listening to Radio Rwanda in 1994.

My point being: the consumer of hate propaganda and the target of hate propaganda are unlikely to be the same individual.

Precedents are for people who care about being fair and even handed. These people do not, they make up the rules as they go along to suit themselves.

What about a president who used a stolen social security number to get elected and then sent money to countries where it was used to kill people or who encouraged division by race of the people in his own country? Should he be found guilty of a crime?

Honestly I've no idea which president you're talking about. Could be any of them since the introduction of social security.

Barack Obama has been using a stole Connecticut social security number since he was in his mid-20s. He previously had a Hawaiian number. To use another person's number (or two different ones) is against the law. It is a felony.

OK cool but Stretcher was executed as the publisher of Der Stürmer, not as a journalist. Surely he had tens of journalists working for him who were all not executed.

Not every murderer has been prosecuted therefore there is no precedent for prosecuting murderers.
