On the Occasion of Tracing Woodgrains’ Wedding
Early on a new spring's morning spied I Thee in whitened glory. My evening darkened mange so poorly cast to beauteous eyes. Thus I spied, a'still, afraid to frighten. Crow'd the cock and fast you turn'd; your bosom eager held aloft. Had one so beautied e're been seen? Or such a breast so struck numb? Mouth agape in eager chase, I followed soft and tender thighs. Those ample legs you cast a pace, and flutter'd half a walking stride. A subtle turn and you were gone, you flit away, as hope undrawn. But gawking yet I hear your gobble, on subtle winds where song birds sup. Would only I had you, my Dear... I would gobble you up.
