The Sirens’ Song of steel—
Though choirs of Angels weep—
He swears with scornful passion:
"I’ll not my brotha’ keep."

The Lamb hath lost its flock,
The Shepherd’s now for fishing,
And all the Crows do mock.
No cloud is seen in Heaven,
And No Man’s Land beneath.
It prays and bleats, “Oh Mercy!”
The Tyger bares its teeth.
